The brothers went on to produce their first commercial caliber, the Labrador in 1885 followed by the world’s first minute repeating timepiece in 1892. When Brandt passed away in 1879, his sons took over to carry on their father’s vision. It was initially known as La Generale Watch Co., a small workshop selling precision watches from parts supplied by local craftsmen.
